i was made to believe
that we are tethered
by a strand of twisted fibers.

me - on this end
you - on the other

and we pulled,
like the string of a handmade telephone toy,
when we needed each other.

you told me once
you'll never let go.

and i was a gossamer
and a see-though
and you saw through me
(how could you? honestly?)

then one day,
you decided to cut the other end.
and i saw the thread collapsed (and we)
and our story that has never started, ended.

but i still think of you sometimes.
and when i do, i smile.

  3. Wow, so pretty this poem.
It has all gotten tangled up dear that's the problem. F is my friend (and I want him to remain just that) but it seems he doesn't and I'm in love with someone else to whom I confessed last year - and who avoided me after that. Now we're friends (?) and I'm too scared to make a move again.
Thank you so much for youe support. You have no idea how much it means to me.

  8. Aww, I love the bittersweet and beautiful feel of this poem; it's very delicate. It's terribly hard to completely banish from our minds the memory of those who touched our hearts.

I am well. :) Very tired, but that's easily amended.

Ooh, I do like your new layout, haze! I hope you are doing well too. xxx

  9. That is an EPIC poem! You're a brilliant poet, Haze. More? Pretty please? :p

This new blogger layout is so confusing me. Not the layout of your blog, but the whole new blogger interface. Gah! I wish they could change it back!

    LOVE LOVE LOVE your bunnies!

Wow, your dog must have been adorable! My neighbout was looking after a puppy that was pitbull/rottweiler/Dalmatian. She had the base rottie colouring, with little orange spots all over her. ADORABLE!

Mmmmm, musicians are good with their hands ;)

Love you so much, happy easter to you too!
